We are proud to present the most recommended, particularly tailor-made private package tour to Chiangrai — the famous Golden Triangle and Maehongsorn — for you to choose the option that suits you best.

The itinerary

DAY1

Chiangmai Maetang Doi Maesalong

Depart Chiangmai in the morning for Maetang Elephant Camp to see the elephant show, elephant riding, ox-cart riding and bamboo rafting. After a buffet lunch, continue on to Thaton — the northernmost little town of Chiangmai province. It lies on either side of the Kok River and is usually the transit point for boat trips to Chiangrai. Sightseeing around the town offers a natural photographic panorama, followed by a visit to an Ah-Ka and Long Neck Karen tribal village. Then drive up the mountain pass through beautiful scenery and stunning views to Doi Mae Salong — the site of Santi Khiri Village, a community settled by remnants of the former Chinese 93rd Division who moved from Myanmar into Thai territory in 1961. Overnight at Doi Mae Salong.

DAY2

Doi Tung Maesai Golden Triangle Chiangsaen

After breakfast, leave Mae Salong for Doi Tung to visit Mae Fah Luang Garden (the Princess Mother's Garden); the route winds through beautiful scenery and viewpoints. Depart Doi Tung for Maesai, Thailand's northernmost district, bordering Myanmar's Tha Khilek and marked by the Maesai River with a bridge spanning both sides. Sightseeing with an opportunity for shopping, then continue to the Golden Triangle. The area is locally referred to as Sop Ruak, where the Maekhong River meets the Ruak River — the point where the borders of Laos, Myanmar and Thailand meet. Lunch is provided at a local restaurant. Afterwards, proceed to Chiangsaen, the ancient town and first capital of the Lanna Kingdom on the bank of the Maekhong River, where traces of the old double city walls and many other antiquities still remain. Leave Chiangsaen for Chiangmai on a different route via Chiangrai City, with a short visit to the one and only Wat Rong Khun (the White Temple), created by one of Thailand's most famous artists. The last stop of the day on the way back is Maekajan Hot Spring, before continuing on to Chiangmai.
